After I published Mundane Motion: Symphonic Discretion I began writing a story... a long story. I finished it two months and four spiral notebooks later. But having a job, a family, girlfriend, friends, and a dog taking the time to type this story isn't a realistic task right now. So I am going to type it up and post a chapter on the blog every Monday. In separating it out I might be able to engage an audience while avoiding a stressful and rushed publication.
The story I managed to put together in only a few months will bring to life many of the archetypes, beliefs, and ideas you may already have while challenging many current ones. At the base it's a story and when you're in the mood for a story, check it out. It's got a beginning, middle, and end. It also has politics, centipedes, religion, cars that break down, beer that whispers 'beer' when opened, love, lust, anger, prison, and a slightly different everything.
I'm a recent graduate from Marquette University with a degree in criminology and psychology. I like stories and music. I am lucky enough to have a family who loves me. I have a dog named blue. I buzz my hair but have had hair of many different lengths. I got the girl and she's amazing.
The world around me writes itself. But I write my own stories about things, stuff, tragedy, relief, anger hope, peace, conspiracies, and it's all actually one story: Newtopian Noise.
.
In a world not unlike our own there are people struggling to maintain jobs, seek out lovers, survive, and kill centipedes. Passion, confusion, and conspiracies bring to life the country of Newtopia and the characters that travel between it and the rest of the world. There's no certainty for anyone but promises of life, love, and the ultimate answer tempt Dell a young teen eager to save his family to push himself further than he ever knew. Senator Thomas Grant is framed and imprisoned but only cares to escape and finally marry Nancy Hope Sabatka-Hernandez a recent graduate. While she begins her own odyssey to find him. Norris, a forty hour a week worker suddenly finds herself in the middle of a series of thefts. Clarance Kalini is a criminal investigator who is trying to unravel things his bosses are trying to hide from him. Lawrence is a young security guard who never sees it coming. Newtopian Noise brings these characters together each in different ways. Is it the noise that sends each in their own unpredictable proverbial bumber-car ride? Or is the noise that brings us together in the first place?
I'll put something up a chronologically subsequent chapter every Monday although it will cover a different character each time. You'll like this if, like me, you like stories.
I'm so excited to read it!
